Artist

Here is an artist character I designed this past week. I tried to put a little of Salvador Dali into the design. Hope you enjoy the drawing!

Rollercoaster Fun

Here are two clips that I made with my son Ethan. The first clip was animated using 3D Studio Max and then made to look like old silent film footage using Adobe After Effects. The second clip was made from some footage of Ethan acting in front of a white bed sheet. The selected clips of Ethan were then edited together and placed onto some cartoon backgrounds that I drew a then scanned into the computer. The shadows on the bed sheet were removed using a combination of Photoshop and After Effects.

Oldy Christmas Card

Here is a Christmas card from a year or two ago with Abigail and Ethan.

Ying-Yang Bass

My wife wanted a ying-yang design using a bass fish for her fishing pole. This is what I came up with.

Super Girl

This is just a fun sketch I did of a super hero girl making a hit.

The Sharks!

A few years ago I designed this logo for my daughter's soccer team called the sharks. The final image was lost because I didn't back up my files.

Alien

Here is an alien character I designed for a personal project.

Abigail

Here is a drawing of my daughter Abigail I made for her Art Blog.

Checkout her Art Blog here, Abby Universe.

SHAG - Birthday

A friend of my sent me a signed sketchbook by the artist by the name SHAG. I am a big fan of his art. My friend's birthday was very close so I sent him a birthday card done in the style of SHAG. I split the image into three pictures named Happy, Birth, and Day. I hope you enjoy the images as much as I enjoyed drawing them.

Animation with Light

Check out this piece of animation by Ryan Cashman.

Creative Juices

Have you ever wondered where creative juices come from?

Cupid

Here is a new character I designed for a special project I am currently working on.

Here are some old designs that I cleaned up for the portfolio.

Expedition Everest

Here's a drawing inspired by my son, Ethan (age 5). He drew the top picture after riding the Everest coaster at Disney's Animal Kingdom (he loved it!), and I drew the bottom picture after seeing his drawing.

Ethan's Drawing. (age 5)

My drawing based on Ethan's drawing.

Fun with Computer Animation

I just finished watching a great two hour show about the life of Ub Iwerks that was on TV. It inspired me to put this short piece of computer animation together to try and make it look like it was a cartoon from the twenties. The transfer to YouTube really lowered the resolution of the image. I am trying to find a better host for video.

Character

Here is a character design I've been working on for several years. I finally have a design I'm happy with.

Knights

Here are a few sketches of some knights I drew years ago.

Inspired!

Kids drawings are a great source of inspiration. Below is an image my son Ethan (age 4) drew and my drawing based on his.
